Smartphones to look out for in 2018!

Over the last few years we have had some fantastic developments in smartphone technology. With MWC 2018 drawn to a close we have taken a look at the phones to watch out for and the latest innovations developers have been working on within the smartphone industry.
Here are some of the phones revealed last week that have got people talking:
Sony Xperia XZ2
Sony have removed the design shackles that seemed to hold it back in recent years. The Sony Xperia XZ2 comes equipped with some standout features: it is the first phone on the market to deliver 4K, HDR recording, and is technically more than capable enough to take on the other Android flagship models. Like many of the other smartphones recently released, Sony have got rid of the headphone jack and have added a glass back.
The Land Rover Explorer
The Land Rover Explorer phone is the latest rugged handset from CAT. This handset could be a solid choice for any outdoorsy person in need of an indestructible phone.
The phone features an ultra-rugged case protecting it from extreme temperatures, salt water and thermal shock. For those who regularly find themselves scaling mountains it also has a number of useful software applications installed. Highlights include topographic mapping options from ViewRanger, an Augmented Reality Skyline feature and instant access to a dashboard that includes weather information, sensor data and an SOS light toggle.
Samsung S9 and S9+
While the Samsung Galaxy 9 may not look very different to the S8 and S8+ with its similar glass-and-metal bodies, you’ll actually find a phone that has some fantastic upgrades. The camera is the biggest area of improvement as the lens changes depending on lighting conditions. There is also a secondary camera on the larger model. The fingerprint sensor is in a better spot on the back. The speakers are now Dolby Atmos-enhanced front-facing and louder than before. But arguably the best thing about Samsung’s new phones is that they have a smaller price tag then their main competitor, the iPhone X.
Some of the other players in the smartphone market were fairly quiet, but did hint of new phones to be unveiled later in the year. So keep your eyes out for a new BlackBerry model, the HTC U12 and the Huawei P20 in the months to comeā¦
